Bereavement Committee

Our Bereavement Committee is the first point of contact with a bereaved family. The group members are collectively responsible for helping the family with the planning of events surrounding this time of need.

Youth and Children

The youth of our church and community are always in need of guidance. If you have the ability, patience and can be of help with this ministry, please contact this department or the church office for more information.

Men's Department

All men of Tabernacle have the opportunity to get involved with this ministry.

The primary focus of the organization is to promote fellowship and brotherhood among the members. If you like to fellowship both at and away from the church, please feel free to participate and contribute your ideas too!

Ministers Guild

The Ministerial Staff of Tabernacle is unique in that it a group of like-minded ministers of the gospel who take the time to study together and support our pastor as needed during any or all of our worship services. Members are scheduled as the featured speaker on various programs held at Tabernacle. One may also be called upon to perform some ministerial duties away from Tabernacle.

New Members Committee

When you join a church, you need someone to help you learn more about your new church home. The New Members Committee is dedicated to helping new Tabernacle members adapt, learn and grow as productive members of the Tabernacle family. If you can help with this awesome task, please feel free to contact this ministry.

Nurses Guild

Nursing is a calling that one must have a passion for in order to do it effectively. As a nurse, you realize that you may be called upon at any time to attend to the medical needs of someone who may be in need of your skills. If you are an RN, LPN, retired, employed or would just like to assist the nurses guild, please contact any nurse.

TBC Usherettes

One of Tabernacle's longest lasting organizations, The Usherettes are a group of dedicated members who pride themselves on doing their job better than any one else.

Women's Council

The Tabernacle Women's Council is a prestigious group of ladies who see after the needs of the church family and the pastor. Whether cooking for just the pastor or for the entire congregation, our Women's Council is always prepared and will not hesitate to work.

If your talents and abilities will flourish in this organization, please let us know.

Women's Department

The Women's Department welcomes all Tabernacle women to participate in this fellowship. This is your opportunity to just be with the girls!

From shopping trips to aerobics, you will enjoy yourself. Come be a part of the Tabernacle Women's Department.

Choir

Our Anointed Voices are just that. Anointed! Led by our Minister of Music, Micah Meredith, the Anointed Voices are special in that they work hard. When you hear them, that sound did not "just happen." Hours of rehearsing is required of members; both with the group and when you are not.

Transgender

This organization is unique and important due to the fact that we welcome its members with our open hearts.

The members are active and love to include everyone in their church activities. If you would like to know more, please contact any of the members.

Courtesy Guild

When you come into the sanctuary, the warm smile and greeting is always so nice to experience. If your heart is warm and you love to meet people, please contact any member of this ministry.

Men's and Women's Choirs

The Women's and the Men's choirs sing on a regular schedule. Everyone is welcome to participate with these choirs. If you you would like to know more, see and choir member.

Male Ushers

The Male Usher Board was established by Rev Meredith. As a group, they take their job very seriously. Nothing short of true dedication is a necessity to be a part of this ministry. If you believe that you have what it takes, see any member for more information.

Geneva Dorsey Ushers

Founded by Mrs. Dorsey, this minitry has endured. They continue to work and love the job they perform. They greet us with a warm smile and like the other usher boards, they require dedication. If you would like to be a part, please see any member.

Singles Ministry

The Singles Minitry is for those who are not necessarily looking to have a partner at the time. The objective is to promote christian fellowship both at and away from Tabernacle. If you would like to know more, contact the church office.

HIV Ministry

This is a very important ministry at Tabernacle. The members educate and those who may have questions or may be in need of community services which will be helpful. If you are in need of their services or if you would like to help, please contact any member or the church office.
